Astăzi vă fac o nouă recomandare din străinezia, o piesă veche pe care cu siguranţă o cunoaşteţi cu toţii.

“Somewhere Over the rainbow” este o baladă compusă de Harold Arlen (pe versurile lui  E.Y. Harburg)  pentru coloana sonoră a musical-ului ”The Wizard of Oz” (1939) . Într-una dintre cele mai faimoase scene ale filmului, piesa este interpretată de actriţa Judy Garland în rolul lui Dorothy Gale, personajul principal al poveştii.

De-a lungul timpului, piesa a fost preluată şi (re)interpretată de mai mulţi artişti celebri. Una dintre variantele cele mai frumoase mi se pare cea a Evei Cassidy, variantă pe care v-o propun astăzi spre ascultare.
